Did You Know?

Before your child enters school, take him or her along the route to school. Explain how to cross the street safely. Review with your child how to cross a street safely. Don’t cross from between parked cars. Always have your children wear seat belts in the car, even for quick trips.

Our Out of School program provides safe supervised care before and/or after school for children aged 6 - 12 years who attend local schools (Cloverdale Catholic School & Cloverdale Traditional School). School-age children are encouraged to develop skills and interests, as well as develop and maintain friendships. Our children have a chance to have fun, learn and be creative while feeling safe in a secure environment. Our program offers a mixture of structured and unstructured interesting and creative activities and encourages physical, social, emotional and creative development.

DAILY SCHEDULE: 6 - 12 YEAR OLD'S PROGRAM

7:00 Centre opens and children begin to arrive.

7:00 - 8:00 Quiet table activities, games, crafts homework, LEGO

800 – 8:10 Clean up before going to school.

2:30 – 3:00 Picked up from school

3:00 - 3:15 Cloverdale Catholic School Pick up

3:15 - 3:30 Wash hand for snack time

3:30 - 4:30 Homework / Afternoon planned activities

4:30 - 5:00 Clean up / Outdoor play

5:00 -6:00 Quiet indoor games / Free play.

SUMMER SCHEDULE FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN
7:00 – 9:00 Playing with toys /doing craft/colouring Help the 3-5 with crafts. Reading stories for small group of children Helping the teachers

9:00 –10:00 Free play Computer games TV games Craft Board games

10:00 Morning snack

10:20 11:00 Clean up and preparation to go out
