DAILY SCHEDULE- 36 Months to 5 Year Old's Program
The Daycare offers a flexible routine that is based on the children’s needs as a group.
7:00 - 8:30 Centre opens, Greeting children and free play activity (choose from many different activities including colouring, play dough, puzzles, small manipulative, blocks, etc.
8:30 Morning kindergarten children go to school.
8:30 - 9:00 Planned activity with group of children (art, science, math/language games, etc.)
9:00 - 9:15 Clean up, and lining up for circle
9:15 – 9:45 Circle time including songs, stories, games and other learning activities.
9:45 - 10:15 Wash hands and snack time
10:15 - 11:45 Outdoor play, children choose outside activities including riding bikes, playing with balls, sand play & other gross motor skills activities.
11:15 – 11:45 Afternoon kindergarten children wash hands and lunchtime. Then go to school at 11:55.
11:45 - 12:00 Hand wash and TV time preparing for lunch.
12:00 – 12:30 Lunchtime
12:30 - 12:45 Bathroom circle and TV time preparing to
nap time
12:45 - 2:30 Story time then nap. All children should have rest time, (at 1:30 children who couldn’t sleep will be given books to read or colouring books. At 2:00 children will be allowed to go to the activity room and choose a quite activity, or join in a planned activity).
* Between 1:00 – 2:00 pm staff members will be busy cleaning up the bathrooms and the activity room, no children are allowed in the activity room in this period for their own safety.
* Parents are expected to explain the naptime routine to their children.
* Children who do not want to sleep are expected to stay quite during naptime if not; notes are going to be sent to their parents.
2:30 – 3:00 Wake up time
3:00 - 3:30 kindergarten children will join the group
and snack time.
3:30 – 5:00 Bathroom circle and lining up for out door time.
* Outdoor time (weather permitting), if not there will be fun circle time and inside activities.
5:00 – 6:00 The remaining children will be given the choice to watch TV/books/ or floor puzzles, all activities will be inside TV and circle area only.
Note: This is a general schedule and activities change daily based on children's interests. The day may also include field trips, special activities such as baking, theme days and other special events. We will keep you informed through the Parents notice board. |
